MOUZ start their ESL Pro League Season 11 Stage 2 run with a two-map series victory over OG on Nuke (16-14) and Train (16-11).
MOUZ was ready to take revenge on OG, the only team among the likes of FaZe and G2 that was able to beat them in the first stage of ESL Pro League Season 11, and they did so in a series they took in two maps, a thirty rounder on Nuke and a 16-11 Train.
OG took the first round of the series against MOUZ on the attacking side of Nuke, but failed to follow it up as Özgür "woxic" Eker and Chris "chrisJ" de Jong got doubles in the forcebuy to tie it up immediately. Down 1-3, OG won the first gun round as their buy was superior to that of the CTs, who still had several SMGs, but with equal buys it was MOUZ who quickly established superiority by going ahead 6-2. Despite losing the half, OG made a final push to keep the map wide open, ending 6-9 before switching sides.
A fast play on the upper site with a quick bomb plant kept MOUZ well in the lead, 10-6. Up 13-6, Finn "karrigan" Andersen got a crucial opening kill, but a double by Mateusz "mantuu" Wilczewski outside kept it to a 4vs3 afterplant situation that he and his team were able to win. OG then started to mount a comeback authoritatively taking control of the pace of the game but were unable to tie it up when down 12-13. The map ended up going down to the wire, with mouz closing out OG’s pick 16-14 as David "frozen" Čerňanský sealed a 25-kill map with a triple.
MOUZ kickstarted their map pick, Train, winning the pistol round on the attacking side. They were then able to gain a large 5-1, overrunning OG and not letting them get an economy. karrigan and company were able to win the half, taking an 8-4 lead before giving up the last three rounds in the half.
Robin "ropz" Kool tried to stop a B aggression on the second pistol round with two kills, but mantuu with four of his own erased MOUZ to keep the map close. OG once again lost to the second round forcebuy, however, as MOUZ took three rounds in a row, and although they were able to feign a competitive half, it was finally the team led by karrigan that took control late on the map and closed it out, 16-11, to secure the first three points in the second stage of Pro League.
